TITLE:  Application Developer
LOCATION:  US – Atlanta South Metro Area
STATUS:  Full Time

DESCRIPTION:
Over 250 clients in 38 countries rely on QL2 to drive business decisions on price, product mix, competitive positioning, and consumer opinions and preferences. We are looking for a highly talented and committed individual to join our application development team. This position will be responsible for architecting, designing and implementing customized solutions using QL2's proprietary development environment, WebQL. The person in this role will work in pre- and post-sale environments, oftentimes collaborating closely with sales account executives from any one of our business units.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Application Development: Interpret customer specifications and implement solutions through WebQL and QL2's hosted platform.
  • Application Maintenance: Support applications throughout their evolution driven by the dynamic nature of the data sources.
  • Customer Support: Evaluate issues reported by customers through QL2's support system, determine the appropriate solution, implement or delegate fix, and clearly communicate resolution to customers in a timely manner.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must possess excellent time and project management skills.
  • Must be self-motivated and enjoy working in a team environment.
  • Must possess adequate problem-solving as well as analytical skills.
  • Must have the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers, both orally and in writing.
  • Must be able to handle multiple projects and requests for assistance with little or no supervision.
  • Must have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused, ever-changing environment.
  • Should enjoy developing, designing or creating smart applications with new and emerging technology.
  • Must be familiar with Internet protocols, Regular Expressions, HTML and Javascript.
  • Must have relevant experience with SQL and relational database concepts.
  • 1+ years experience working in a collaborative effort with a team of developers, and/or developing applications for customer(s) independently.
  • Must possess a diploma or degree from a 2-year institution; technical background a plus.

PREFERRED:

  • Experience with programming languages such as VB.NET or Java.
  • B.A./B.S. from a 4-year institution.
  • Familiarity with unstructured data management/data mining applications on or off the web.
